Participants of AqAltyn 2026 Will Visit the New Asia Milk Farm with 2,350 Cows
The farm is located in the village of Zertass, Tolebi District, Turkestan Region. Construction of the complex began in April 2025, and the facility was commissioned on May 24, 2026.
The farm covers an area of 10 hectares. The projected herd size is about 2.3–2.35 thousand cows. The forage herd is designed for 1.2 thousand animals, including about 1 thousand milking cows and 200 dry cows.
Approximately 1.15 thousand will be young stock, including heifers and calves, raised for annual herd renewal and replacement of culled cows.
To form the herd, Asia Milk purchases Holstein breed cattle from Denmark. The first 165 animals have already arrived at the farm. Another 165 are scheduled to be brought on September 24, and a third batch of 330 heads is expected in early November 2026. The main herd formation is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
The farm is equipped with DeLaval milking equipment: a 40-stall carousel and a 10-stall herringbone milking parlor. During the tour, AqAltyn participants will be able to see the organization of the milking process and discuss the technological solutions designed for herd maintenance.
The complex is also equipped with an MDN GRUP manure removal scraper system, SKOV ventilation system, Buschhoff crushing equipment, and SILOKING feeding equipment. Stall equipment was supplied by "Jahon Agro Villa".
The tour of Asia Milk will be a practical continuation of the AqAltyn 2026 business program, which will take place on November 30 and December 1 in Shymkent. During the congress, participants will discuss the economics of dairy farms, investments in production, farm management, processing development, export, and working with retail chains.
Visiting the new farm will allow participants to get firsthand experience with the implementation of the dairy project in the Turkestan region and discuss issues of herd composition, equipment selection, young stock raising, and bringing the complex to its design capacity.
