Thousands Attend Annual Kenosha County Dairy Breakfast at Spoerlein Farms

The annual Kenosha County Dairy Breakfast, held in 2026 at Spoerlein Farms in Brighton, drew thousands of attendees interested in learning about the region's dairy industry. The event was a highlight in the community, offering various activities for participants.

County Executive Samantha Kerkman, alongside U.S. Representative Bryan Steil, volunteered as servers, helping distribute breakfast items to attendees, including visitors like Josh Hetler and his daughter Victoria from Tampa, Florida. The breakfast aimed to provide an engaging experience for families and individuals, fostering a stronger connection to local agriculture.

One of the key attractions of the event was the opportunity to interact with the dairy cows. Attendees such as Janna Hollingsworth and Victoria Bormann, along with her son Ethan, enjoyed petting the animals, emphasizing the educational aspect of the breakfast.

In addition to the breakfast, the Dairy Air Bike Ride was a popular activity, with participants cycling an approximately 22-mile round trip from Bristol Woods Park to Spoerlein Farms. This ride not only promoted physical activity but also highlighted the scenic rural landscapes of Kenosha County.

Heather Daniels, ambassador and secretary of Kenosha County Dairy Promotion, introduced members of the Spoerlein family, who hosted the event at their farm. The family's involvement underscored the importance of local farmers in sustaining the dairy industry.

As part of the event's activities, Samantha Kerkman presented a proclamation for Dairy Month, further promoting dairy awareness and appreciation within the community. The proclamation served as a reminder of the dairy industry's role in the local economy and culture.
