The alarming situation unfolding in Huimanguillo, Tabasco, has seen thousands of cattle buried after a mass mortality event.
According to Jaime del Valle, reporting for XEU Noticias from XEVA Tabasco, the state governor, Javier May, confirmed in a press conference that 1,062 cattle fatalities have been attributed to contaminated chicken manure used as feed. Unfortunately, the governor ruled out the possibility of applying sanitation risk insurance due to mismanagement of this feed product. Furthermore, the state government, led by Javier May, is continuing its efforts with a comprehensive sanitation sweep across Tabasco to assess and mitigate the potential risks.
