Tetra Pak Strengthens Leadership with Appointment of Sara De Simoni as Executive Vice President of Development & Technology

Tetra Pak has announced the appointment of Sara De Simoni as its new Executive Vice President of Development & Technology (D&T), effective 1 September 2024. This move is set to bolster the company’s focus on innovation, commercial agility, and sustainable packaging solutions within its senior leadership team.
With over 24 years at Tetra Pak, Sara De Simoni brings a wealth of experience in solutions development, programme management, and equipment engineering. Her new mandate will focus on delivering cutting-edge innovations, enhancing customer value, and accelerating the deployment of sustainable packaging solutions as the company strives to achieve its ambition of offering the world’s most sustainable paper-based food and beverage packaging.
De Simoni will be based in Lausanne, Switzerland, and will join the Tetra Pak Executive Leadership Team, reporting directly to Adolfo Orive, President & CEO of Tetra Pak.
Having started her career at Tetra Pak in 2001 as an industrial designer, De Simoni’s technical and leadership expertise have been instrumental in various roles, including Managing Director of Tetra Pak Packaging Solutions S.p.A. and Vice President of Programme Management in D&T. She holds a Master’s Degree in Industrial Design from the University of Florence and a Postgraduate Master’s in Technology and Innovation Management from the University of Bologna.
