Tetra Pak Eyes Expansion in Asia Pacific Beyond Milk

Tetra Pak, a leader in food processing and packaging, sees strong growth prospects in Malaysia and the Asia Pacific region beyond the traditional milk category, according to CEO Adolfo Orive. The growing demand for diverse beverages, including plant-based and protein-enriched options, reflects a significant market evolution.
Globally, the need for protein is on the rise, and Tetra Pak aims to support various product lines catering to diverse consumer lifestyles. With over 70% of its packaging sourced from renewable materials, the company is committed to sustainability while enhancing its packaging solutions.
Orive emphasized Tetra Pak's dedication to innovation, marked by a EUR 500 million investment in R&D over the past five years. In line with this, the expansion of the Binh Duong facility in Vietnam, with a EUR 97 million Phase 2 launch, is set to meet the demands across Vietnam and the Asia Pacific, achieving a production capacity of 30 billion packs annually.
Asia Pacific's food and beverage market, valued at $667 billion in 2023, is expected to reach $900 billion by 2028, presenting substantial opportunities for growth and innovation.
