T&G Global Expands to Canterbury with Premium Apple Orchard

Fresh produce giant T&G Global is expanding its operations in Canterbury, New Zealand, by embarking on a new agricultural venture. The company has decided to transform a dairy farm in Mid Canterbury into a fertile apple orchard, marking a significant step in the region.

This strategic move is being executed in collaboration with the New Zealand Superannuation Fund, facilitated through its rural investment manager, FarmRight. The project is focused on planting an expansive 125 hectares of Joli-branded premium apples.

This development follows T&G Global's earlier success in Hawke’s Bay, where 55 hectares of the same premium apple variety were planted. However, this endeavor in Canterbury signifies the first instance of planting Joli apples at a commercial scale within the region.
