SICK and Endress & Hauser Forge Strategic Partnership in Process Automation
Global Integration and Workforce Transition
As part of the partnership, approximately 800 sales and service employees from SICK will join Endress & Hauser in 42 countries. This move ensures customers worldwide have access to a broader range of products and technical expertise from a single source. Starting January 1, 2025, Endress & Hauser has taken over the global marketing of SICK’s gas analysis and flow measurement technologies, with China’s transition scheduled for March 2025.
Dr. Peter Selders, CEO of the Endress & Hauser Group, remarked, “This partnership creates new opportunities for growth, particularly in the sustainable transformation of the process industry. By joining forces, one and one equals more than two.”
Joint Venture and Innovation
The production and further development of gas analyzers and flowmeters will now operate under the joint venture Endress & Hauser SICK GmbH+Co. KG. Each company holds a 50% stake in the venture, which employs around 730 people across multiple German sites. Close collaboration with Endress & Hauser’s product centers is expected to drive innovation to meet evolving market demands.
Applications in Key Industries
The technologies involved are essential for industries like waste incineration, power generation, steel, cement, oil and gas, and chemical production. These tools are vital for emissions monitoring and measuring natural gas and hydrogen flows, helping customers meet stringent regulatory standards and improve operational efficiency.
Shared Vision for Sustainability
Dr. Mats Gökstorp, Chairman of SICK AG’s Executive Board, emphasized the partnership’s role in driving sustainability in process industries: “Together, we can guide customers into a sustainable future with leading technological solutions. The transformation of the process industry offers enormous growth opportunities.”
With both companies rooted in family-owned values, this partnership represents a commitment to innovation, sustainability, and customer success. As the process automation sector evolves, the collaboration between SICK and Endress & Hauser is set to redefine industry standards and deliver enhanced solutions worldwide.
