The terms of the transaction were not disclosed, but the sale is expected to be finalized by the end of June.

A spokesperson for Mila Cooperative shared that the divestiture comes as part of a strategic refocus towards their growing core businesses in yogurt and cut cheese. This shift is intended to support further development in these categories. "The proceeds from the sale of Stella Bianca will enable Mila to make significant investments in the automation and digitization of our plants, aligning with our ongoing sustainability strategy," the spokesperson stated.

Stella Bianca, based in Lodi, Italy, is renowned for its production of fresh cheeses using 100% Italian milk. The company's product line includes stracchino, robiola, goat cheese, and cream cheese. Additionally, Stella Bianca offers vegan and gluten-free yogurt alternatives made from Italian rice flour. The company serves both in branded products and private label solutions, catering to a diverse market demand.

This acquisition marks a strategic expansion for Sabelli as it continues to strengthen its presence in the Italian and international dairy markets.
