ROCA Investments Sells Stake in Artesana to Booster Capital

Private equity fund ROCA Investments has announced the sale of its entire 20% stake in Artesana, a renowned Romanian dairy producer, to Booster Capital, marking a major shift in ownership five years after ROCA's initial investment. During this period, Artesana achieved remarkable growth, quadrupling its production capacity and tripling its turnover to EUR 11 million in 2024, with a net profit margin reaching 3%. The dairy company aims to further boost its turnover to EUR 15 million by 2025.
A key venture under ROCA's partnership was the establishment of a new dairy factory, an endeavor commenced in April 2021 and completed two years later with an investment of EUR 6 million. As Artesana transitions into its next phase, co-founder Daniel Donici expressed confidence in Booster Capital's ability to uphold Artesana's local roots while embracing an international vision.
Future plans include strengthening Artesana's local market position, building a robust management team, and embarking on new projects, such as a EUR 10 million artisanal cheese section, alongside potential expansion into international markets. Artesana also eyes collaboration with niche players, leveraging Booster Capital's expertise to acquire and integrate other businesses.
Founded in 2012, Artesana products are currently available in major supermarket chains, local stores, and in Romanian stores abroad in countries like the UK, Belgium, and Germany.
