Robotic Event to Bolster South West Wales Dairy Industry

Dairy farmers contemplating the transition to robotic milking or seeking to enhance their current systems are invited to participate in the South West Wales Robotic Event. The event aims to present the latest insights in robotic milking technology and is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, February 11, at The Ivy Bush Royal Hotel in Carmarthen.
Organized by ForFarmers, known for their operations at Carmarthen Mill, the event will host numerous reputed speakers from the industry focused on the significance of nutrition in maximizing the performance of robotic systems.
According to Bas van Santen, ForFarmers’ robotic product manager, "Statistics indicate that half of the new milking equipment deployed on UK farms is robotic. ForFarmers is strategically positioned to aid those contemplating, installing, or harnessing robotic milking systems, which can significantly boost yield, profitability, and herd health."
Mr. van Santen will address performance optimization efficiencies, while Alison Ewing, ForFarmers' technical development manager, will discuss 'Understanding Feed 2 Milk.' Additional insights will be provided by Hannah Jarman, director of Pro Stock Vets in Lampeter, focusing on 'Nutrition from a Vet’s Perspective.'
The event symbolizes an excellent learning platform for farmers at any stage of their robotic milking journey to extract vital insights beneficial to their systems or to resolve their queries during the Q&A sessions. Sessions will commence at 11 AM following tea and coffee at 10:30 AM, progressing with a hot and cold buffet lunch, and concluding by 2 PM. Although attendance is free, prior booking is required via forfarmers.co.uk/swwre25.
