Supplies of Ukrainian cheese and cottage cheese to Kazakhstan increased by almost 35% in 2023

In 2023, the trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Ukraine decreased by 26.6% compared to 2022 and reached $391.7 million. Kazakhstan sold 5.5 times less goods to Ukraine – 62.9 thousand tons.
And in monetary terms, exports decreased 4.3 times to $54.9 million. Imports decreased by 17.4% to 68.3 thousand tons. However, there is a noticeable increase in money – by 14.4% ($336.7 million).
Sales of Kazakhstani sunflower seeds, safflower and mustard to Ukraine increased 7 times - up to 6,7 thousand tons. Ukraine purchased 8 tractors from Kazakhstan in 2023. At the same time, in 2022, this type of equipment was not supplied from Kazakhstan to Ukraine.
Regarding imports, Kazakhstan imported more Ukrainian chocolate, beef, and corn last year.
As for dairy products, the supply of Ukrainian cheese and cottage cheese to Kazakhstan amounted to 3.4 thousand tons - an increase of 34.7%, butter – 1.2 thousand tons - an increase of 2 times.
It is also noted that the number of companies operating in Kazakhstan with the participation of Ukraine increased by 10.5% to 1,056 organizations.
