Kraft Heinz’s cream cheese brand Philadelphia is entering the baking category with the introduction of Philadelphia Frosting, touted as the ‘first refrigerated cream cheese frosting from a mainstream brand in the US.’ Made with fresh milk and cream, the new product promises a taste reminiscent of homemade frosting.

The culinary team at Philadelphia spent a year and a half perfecting the recipe, resulting in a frosting that combines the brand’s signature creaminess with a sweet and tangy flavor profile. This versatile frosting can be used on cakes, cookies, cinnamon rolls, and even fresh fruit.

Becca Dunphey, president of Taste, Meals and Snacking at The Kraft Heinz Company, expressed enthusiasm for the launch, stating, “Bringing the creamy deliciousness of Philadelphia to the frosting category just makes sense. Our team has worked tirelessly to create a frosting worthy of the Philadelphia name, and we’re excited to introduce this game-changing innovation to the market.”

Dunphey added, “With Philadelphia Frosting, consumers don’t need to compromise on taste or convenience; they can enjoy the delicious Philadelphia experience every time.” Earlier this year, the brand also launched limited-edition no-hole bagels, named Bagel Wholes, offering more space for spreadable foods.

Philadelphia Frosting will be available in 16oz tubs for $4.99 at select retailers across the US.
