Peter Skene has stepped down as CEO of Australian Dairy Nutritionals (AHF), effective immediately, to explore new opportunities. Skene, who has been a significant figure at the Victoria-based dairy group for 14 years, will remain with the company for up to three months to facilitate a smooth leadership transition.
Today, AHF informed the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) of Skene's resignation and stated that the search for his successor is in advanced stages. The company promised to keep the market updated in accordance with its continuous disclosure obligations.
AHF's chair, Peter Nathan, expressed gratitude for Skene’s extensive contributions: “The board is deeply appreciative of Peter’s dedication and his pioneering efforts in developing our company over the past decade. We wish him the best for his future pursuits. Meanwhile, we remain focused on ensuring the continued success of AHF during this transition period.”
Earlier this year, in April, Bernard Kavanagh stepped down as AHF's chair for personal reasons, prompting Skene to temporarily assume the role until Nathan, a former A2 Milk Co. Asia-Pacific CEO, took over in June.
Australian Dairy Nutritionals operates as a vertically integrated entity, owning dairy farms and a processing facility in southwest Victoria. The company specializes in producing the Ocean Road Dairies Organic A2 infant formula range at its Camperdown facility. Following a strategic shift announced in late 2022, AHF ceased the production of fresh milk at the Camperdown site, choosing instead to focus on infant formula and other dairy nutritional products like milk powders.
