Milk Processing Volume in Kazakhstan Increases to 632 Thousand Tons in 2024
The volume of milk processing has shown steady growth over the past years: from 620 thousand tons in 2020 to 632 thousand tons in 2024. The production of fermented dairy products increased from 227 thousand to 238 thousand tons over the same period. To further increase processing volumes, the experience of the North Kazakhstan region in building dairy farms is being scaled up.
"No less than 200 billion tenge is planned to be directed to support livestock breeding, with the prospect of increasing this amount. These funds will also be used for importing breeding livestock, creating a foundation for intensive growth," noted the head of the Ministry of Agriculture.
Positive dynamics are also observed in the poultry segment. In the last five years, poultry meat production in Kazakhstan has increased from 236.5 thousand tons to 360 thousand tons, significantly reducing the domestic market's import dependence.
