Impressions from the visit to Yalama Agropark

Last week started with my visit to the Caspian Agro Exhibition in Baku, Azerbaijan — an impressive event showcasing the latest innovations and developments in agriculture.

Following the exhibition, my colleague Dr. Elisabeth Holl and I had the chance to visit one of the most advanced and modern dairy farms in Azerbaijan — Yalama Agropark LLC.
We had a productive session with veterinarians, zootechnicians, and farm management, focusing on the crucial topic of herd health and productivity. Coming from the animal nutrition side we truly value these direct, on-site exchanges — they are essential for mutual learning and continuous improvement.
One element that stood out to me personally was seeing the farm operated by a team of young, skilled professionals. At a time when farm succession is uncertain and fewer young people are choosing careers in farming, this is truly encouraging. I believe their motivation and commitment are one of the key aspects to building a sustainable future for agriculture.
Thank you to everyone for the warm hospitality and open exchange. Looking forward to continued and meaningful progress together!
You can visit Yalama Agropark farm, as well as other modern dairy complexes in Azerbaijan, during the car rally across this country, which will take place from June 16-20, 2025.
If you want to witness the development of Azerbaijan's dairy industry, make valuable connections, gain inspiration for transformations, and simply spend four unforgettable days among like-minded individuals — DairyRally Azerbaijan 2025 awaits you!
Price increase from June 1. Be sure to register for the rally at today's price.
