Mondelēz International (Nasdaq: MDLZ) has announced the appointment of Filippo Catalano as Chief Information and Digital Officer (CIDO). Catalano will report directly to Chair and Chief Executive Officer Dirk Van de Put and will be responsible for driving the company's global technology transformation to support long-term growth. He is set to join the organization later this year.

"We’re delighted to welcome Filippo in further advancing our enterprise-wide technology agenda as a critical enabler of our sustainable growth plan,” said Van de Put. “Filippo’s track record in driving digital transformation in leading consumer packaged goods companies will provide strong leadership to step-change the digital evolution of our business.”

Catalano most recently served as CIDO at Reckitt, where he spearheaded the information technology and digital team to drive significant growth and expansion. Under his leadership, Reckitt revamped its technology stack to enhance omnichannel operations and successfully implemented various artificial intelligence, machine learning, and advanced analytics platforms and solutions.

Previously, Catalano served as Senior Vice President and Global Chief Information Officer at Nestlé, leading the transformation of technology platforms, data, analytics, e-business, processes, and technology skills. His career also includes over 15 years at Procter & Gamble, where he led the digital transformation of key brands and corporate initiatives across multiple regions. He currently serves as a Non-Executive Director at Farmer Connect, a tech company specializing in traceability and deforestation reporting for key agricultural commodities.

Catalano holds a master’s degree in mechanical and energy engineering from Politecnico di Torino.
