Mexico: Alfa Feeds on Sigma
Alfa, a major Mexican company, has completed its strategic transformation by slimming down to focus exclusively on Sigma, its food division. With a workforce of 47,000 employees and a product portfolio of over 100 brands, Sigma has positioned itself as a leader in the food sector.

Key brands under Sigma, including FUD, La Villita, and Campofrío, have been pivotal in delivering significant shareholder value through effective capital allocation and increased stock prices since the latter half of 2024. Sigma's economic impact is notable, with its brands generating substantial revenues. At least one brand earns over a billion dollars annually, while 15 others surpass the $100 million mark each. Since 2000, Sigma's total sales have multiplied elevenfold, reaching $8.804 billion, and its geographic reach expanded from four to seventeen countries across the Americas and Europe.

The leadership remains with Álvaro Fernández Garza as president and CEO of Alfa, and Rodrigo Fernández as CEO of Sigma, steering the company towards its mission of providing 'food for a better life.'
