Meadow Gold Dairy Facility in Colorado Reduces Workforce Amid Market Changes
The Meadow Gold Dairy distribution facility located in Grand Junction, Colorado, has announced a reduction in its workforce. On March 27, employees were informed by the Dairy Farmers of America (DFA) that the decision was driven by changing market conditions.
According to a release obtained by KKCO, the DFA stated that the facility would transition away from frozen food distribution to concentrate on fluid and cultured dairy products, such as yogurt, sour cream, and cottage cheese. The organization emphasized that these changes were not a reflection of employee performance and expressed gratitude for the dedication and contributions of their team members.
In addition to Grand Junction, the transition will impact employees at the Silt and Cortez locations. The DFA has committed to providing resources to support affected employees until the transition is complete.
