Martin Santerre Elevated to Senior VP Role at Lactalis Canada

Lactalis Canada has announced the promotion of Martin Santerre to the position of Senior Vice President of Industrial. With this appointment, Santerre will assume responsibility for overseeing Lactalis Canada's 20 manufacturing facilities across the country, encompassing cheese and tablespreads, yogurt and cultured products, as well as fluid and dessert items.
Mark Taylor, President and CEO of Lactalis Canada, expressed confidence in Santerre's leadership abilities and comprehensive understanding of manufacturing processes. He highlighted Santerre's role in enhancing manufacturing capabilities to align with the company's long-term objectives.
Santerre himself emphasized the commitment of Lactalis Canada to delivering high-quality, nutritious, and flavorful products. He expressed enthusiasm for leading the industrial team towards continued innovation and operational excellence, aiming for further success in the industry.
Bringing extensive industrial expertise to his new role, Santerre originally joined Lactalis Canada in 2017 as Vice President of Manufacturing for the Dairy Food Group, focusing on cheese and tablespreads. Prior to this, he held various senior industrial positions at Hood Packaging and Agropur, including roles in manufacturing, procurement, and technical services.
Santerre's appointment comes as part of a strategic transition within Lactalis Canada's leadership team. He replaces Franck Lallemand, who will be assuming a new role as Senior Vice President of Industrial Projects before relocating to Lactalis France in October 2024. Additionally, Ronan Lostanlen will join Lactalis Canada as the new Vice President of Manufacturing for the Dairy Food Group, effective July 1, 2024.
