Kyrgyzstan’s Dairy Exports Increase by 2,000 Tons in the First 7 Months of the Year

Tilek Tabaldiev, Head of the Department of Internal Veterinary Supervision at the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of Kyrgyzstan, reported that from January to July 2024, Kyrgyzstan’s dairy exports reached 20,000 tons. This is an increase of 2,000 tons compared to the same period last year, when exports totaled 18,000 tons.
The main export markets remain Kazakhstan and Russia, with a noticeable increase in supplies to Uzbekistan. However, despite having access to the Chinese market, exports to China have not yet begun.
Tilek Tabaldiev suggested that the reasons for this could be a lack of agreements between Kyrgyz entrepreneurs and the Chinese side, as well as possible challenges related to pricing policies.
The most significant volumes of dairy products exported from Kyrgyzstan in the first seven months of 2024 include:
Pasteurized milk: 12 tons
Cheese: 807 tons
Shoro products: 82 tons
Butter: 1,273.6 tons
Ice cream: 3,611.2 tons
Dried whey: 30 tons
Cream: 540 tons
Dried milk: 326.4 tons
Kurut: 3 tons
