Kyrgyzstan increased butter exports to Kazakhstan

In January-February 2025, the volume of butter exports from Kyrgyzstan to Kazakhstan reached 71.8 tons worth $432 thousand, which is 2.3 times higher than the same period in 2024 (30.8 tons worth $137 thousand).

The growth in supplies continues the trend recorded in 2024: over the 11 months of last year, the export of Kyrgyz butter to Kazakhstan tripled, amounting to 675 tons worth $3.4 million. For comparison, for the same period in 2023, the export volume was 252 tons worth $1.1 million.
According to the results of January-November 2024, the total export of butter from Kyrgyzstan amounted to 1,957 tons worth $10.3 million against 1,284.9 tons ($5.99 million) a year earlier. The main sales markets remain Russia and Kazakhstan, which account for the largest share of export supplies. Supplies to Russia also showed an increase of 30% in physical volume and more than $2.1 million in value terms.
