Kyrgyzstan has significantly reduced its export of butter in the first five months of 2024, according to data from the National Statistical Committee.

From January to May of this year, exports amounted to 401 tons valued at $1.7 million, which is almost three times less compared to the same period last year when 1,000 tons were exported for $4.9 million.
The main reason for this sharp reduction is the lack of shipments to Russia, which in 2023 accounted for 85% of Kyrgyzstan's butter exports.
