Kerala's Milma Embarks on Global Expansion via Gulf Dairy Exports

Kerala Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation, known as Milma, is preparing to export dairy products to Gulf nations, with plans to expand to the US and Maldives.

Kerala's apex dairy cooperative, Milma, is set to initiate the export of its dairy-based food products to Gulf countries starting in July 2025. The export lineup includes products such as Paneer Butter Masala, Instant Pulisseri Mix, Ready-to-Drink Palada Payasam, Flavored Milk, and Instant Milk Powder. Distribution will be managed by the Lulu Group across its various malls and retail outlets in the Gulf region.
Milma is also targeting the United States and Maldives for future exports with hopes of generating an annual revenue of 1,000 crore rupees from international sales. Ice creams in 15 distinct flavors are part of the expansion strategy. In the fiscal year 2024-25, Milma registered a total revenue of 4,327 crore rupees, with substantial contributions from regional unions. Milma is committed to maintaining high quality in dairy production, expanding its product lineup, and exploring new markets to drive revenue growth, according to Chairman K. S. Mani.
