Kerala Launches Ksheerasree Portal for Streamlined Milk Collection and Distribution

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has inaugurated the Ksheerasree portal, an innovative online platform designed to streamline the collection and distribution of milk from dairy cooperatives across the state. Developed by the Dairy Development Department, this portal is the first of its kind in India, integrating a wide range of government services for the dairy sector under one digital umbrella.
During the launch, Chief Minister Vijayan emphasized the role of digital technology in advancing the dairy industry, noting, "Ksheerasree is a significant milestone in modernizing our dairy sector, enhancing both efficiency and transparency." The portal enables accurate assessment of the quantity and quality of milk provided by farmers, who can now access a range of government services, including financial aid, through a single platform. Eligible applicants will have government benefits directly credited to their bank accounts, streamlining access to support.
In addition to the portal’s launch, Minister for Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development J Chinchurani introduced two new products from Milma: Cashew Vita Powder and bottled Tender Coconut Water. Highlighting the focus on health and convenience, Minister Chinchurani stated, “These products offer healthier alternatives to traditional health drinks, meeting the evolving demands of a fast-paced lifestyle."
Cashew Vita Powder, a cashew-based health drink developed in partnership with the Kerala State Cashew Development Corporation Ltd., is manufactured using advanced technology at the Central Food Technological Research Institute in Mysuru. This product has a six-month shelf life and is available in three flavors—Chocolate, Pista, and Vanilla—in 250 gm packets priced at ₹460, ₹325, and ₹260, respectively.
Milma’s bottled Tender Coconut Water targets both local and international markets, with a shelf life of nine months. Utilizing cutting-edge technology that eliminates human contact during processing, this 200 ml beverage retains the nutritional value of fresh coconut water and is available at ₹40 per bottle.
