Kazakhstan's Dairy Exports Reach $66.4 Million

According to a representative from the Kizelman Group of Companies, the main destinations for Kazakhstan's dairy product exports continue to be the markets of the EAEU and Central Asia.

The largest export category was fermented dairy products. Shipments of yogurt, kefir, and ryazhenka reached 17,900 tons, valued at $23.6 million, with monetary value increasing by 24.9%.

The primary buyers of Kazakhstan's fermented dairy products include Russia, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, and Kyrgyzstan. Georgia, Mongolia, Armenia, and China were mentioned as new supply destinations.

The export of condensed and powdered milk grew by 2.2 times, reaching 2,900 tons worth $12.1 million. Russia received 1,900 tons of these products valued at $8.1 million, and Uzbekistan received 607 tons worth $2 million. Shipments were also made to Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.

The export of drinking milk and cream increased by 1.8 times to 5,100 tons worth $3.9 million. Russia received 3,600 tons. At the same time, shipments to Uzbekistan and Tajikistan also grew.

The presentation noted that the further development of exports would depend on the ability of enterprises to produce high-value products, ensure consistent quality, and adapt their range to the requirements of target markets.
