Kazakhstan has prepared more than 20 million tons of animal feed

In Kazakhstan, an active campaign is underway to prepare feed for farm animals as part of the preparation for the upcoming wintering of 2025–2026. As of today, more than 20 million tons of feed have been prepared in the country's regions, reports Dairynews.today with reference to a press release from the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

High rates of feed preparation are demonstrated by the Kostanay (96.5%), North Kazakhstan (97.3%), Akmola (92.3%) regions, as well as the Zhetysu region (91.0%) and the city of Shymkent (100%).
At the moment, the following has been prepared:
* Hay: 17.9 million tons
* Silage: 1.2 million tons
* Concentrated feed: 422.6 thousand tons
* Straw: 1.1 million tons
* Silage: 193.5 thousand tons
The approved planned volumes of preparation for the wintering period of 2025–2026 include: hay – 24.5 million tons, silage – 1.7 million tons, straw – 4.6 million tons, concentrated feed – 5.6 million tons, silage – 2.0 million tons.
"The feed supply situation is assessed as stable," the press release emphasizes.
