Italian investor Prosol plans to build a plant for the production of feed yeast in Kazakhstan, and purchase raw materials in Russia

The investor of the unique project, the Italian company Prosol, told details about the construction of a plant for the production of feed yeast in Kazakhstan. The decision to build the plant in the special economic zone of Qyzyljar was influenced by convenient logistics and proximity of raw materials.
The director of Prosol LLP, Syrym Abutalipov, noted that the company has big plans for the development of production in the North Kazakhstan region.
"The company is a leader in biotechnology in the field of RNA and yeast production. The factory is located near Milan in the northern part of Italy. We sell our products in 50 countries around the world. It is registered almost all over the world. The main consumers are the countries of Europe and Southeast Asia. We are now expanding sales to China. We also want to enter the US market. But it is, of course, difficult," said Syrym Abutalipov.
In the North Kazakhstan region, the plant will produce, first of all, active yeast. This is very important for the region.
"The agro-industrial complex is very developed in Kazakhstan. We will be right in the middle of our big consumers. There is also a developed railway. Plus, the availability of raw materials. We will take it from Russia, and already produce products here," added Syrym Abutalipov.
Prosol has been on the market for 50 years. There are only four factories in the world that use this technology. They are found in Japan, China and Italy. The plant's management hopes to further develop the biotechnology cluster and establish production in Kyrgyzstan in the future.
"Of course, we will not forget about the Kazakh market, we will try to meet some needs of the country. We will attract local labor. We are already negotiating with the university to train personnel specifically for our production," said the director of Prosol LLP.
Earlier it was reported that Prosol Biotech Kazakhstan plans to open a plant with a capacity of 3 thousand tons of products per year in 2025. The production of feed yeast will be launched for 2 billion tenge.
