Increase in Milk and Beef Production Reported in Tabasco

This year, there has been a significant increase in the production of milk and beef in Tabasco, as revealed by Juan Gustavo León Angles, the Regional Delegate in Tabasco for the National Confederation of Livestock Organizations (CNOG). The delegate attributed this growth to the support provided by the government led by Governor Javier May Rodríguez. The support comes through the 'Crédito Ganadero a la Palabra' program and efforts to recover sanitary status.
León Angles highlighted the benefits of the government's new credit program, stating, "The price of livestock has risen, and we have received substantial support from Governor May. The 'Crédito Ganadero a la Palabra' program has already seen its first physical distribution of animals, accompanied by documentation delivery for beneficiaries to collect their animals. This initiative has greatly contributed to the increase in milk and beef production and their market prices."
The delegate noted a 24% increase in livestock prices per kilo this year, adding, "We have increased the price per kilo to 62 pesos, previously it was in the fifties. Although we lack a central milk collection point, production figures show an increase in both milk and beef. The program aims to enhance the state's cattle herd, ensuring that more calves are produced across the country."
