MOSCOW. July 2 (Interfax) - Health & Nutrition (H&N), once part of Danone's Russian business, has announced ambitions to escalate its exports of halal-certified dairy products to 100-150 tonnes in 2025. This initiative is supported by their recent achievement, securing the right for the Lipetsk Dairy Plant to export halal products, certified under the GSO 2055-1:2015 international standard.

Ruslan Alisultanov, chairman of H&N, emphasized the strategic importance of this milestone, "Getting a halal certificate for the Lipetsk Dairy Plant is another step in the development of the international business. Exports to countries in the Middle East open up substantial prospects for the company's growth. We see strong potential in this market, interest in Russian dairy products, and plan to systematically increase shipments to 100-150 tonnes by the end of 2025," he stated in a press release.

The Lipetsk plant joins Yalutorovsky Dairy Plant, which was halal certified earlier in 2025 and also holds a Made in Russia certificate, as part of H&N's international export strategy. The plant demonstrated a robust production increase by 18% in 2024, totaling 95,000 tonnes. In June, H&N successfully dispatched a trial batch of 700 kg of cream and ultra-pasteurized milk to the United Arab Emirates.

Certification auditing was conducted by GulfTIC-ICSC Halal, a collaboration between Russia's Halal International Center for Standardization and Certification and UAE's GulfTIC.
