Food Union Europe Appoints Soren Lauridsen as Executive Chairman

Food Union Europe is pleased to announce the appointment of Soren Lauridsen as the new Executive Chairman, effective January 15th, 2024.
In this crucial role, Lauridsen, with over three decades of leadership experience spanning diverse industries, will lead the charge in enhancing growth opportunities and operational efficiencies across the Food Union group's varied business units.
The creation of the Executive Chairman position underscores Food Union Europe's dedication to strategic leadership and expansion. Lauridsen will report directly to the Supervisory Board of Food Union Europe, comprising investment partners PAG. He will collaborate closely with Arturs Čirjevskis, CEO of Food Europe, and the senior leadership of the Food Union Group, aligning efforts to achieve shared objectives.
Lauridsen's extensive background includes leadership roles in branding, marketing, and sales within the FMCG industry, with a focus on ice cream, food, and beverage categories in leading companies in the Nordics and Poland. His experience also extends to national and regional leadership positions in the beverages, health, and personal care sectors across Asia Pacific countries since the early 2000s. Notably, for the past six years, Lauridsen has served as the CEO South Asia at Guardian (DFI Retail Group), a prominent Health and Beauty retail chain with a presence in Malaysia, Brunei, Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, and Cambodia.
