Euromilk Expands Capacity with New SIG Filling Machine

Euromilk, a prominent dairy producer in Slovakia, has enhanced its production capabilities by installing the SIG Slimline 12 Aseptic filling machine. This strategic move is aimed at addressing the increasing demand for Euromilk's diverse product range, which includes white and flavored milks, cream, and plant-based beverages. The new filling technology allows Euromilk to fill up to 12,000 carton packs per hour, offering flexibility in packaging volumes of 500ml, 750ml, and 1,000ml. The transition between different packaging sizes can be completed in less than 15 minutes by adjusting the sleeves, volume, and parameters.

Euromilk's commitment to sustainability is underscored through its 'Kukkonia Green' initiative. The new filling line is compatible with standard packaging materials and SIG's innovative sustainable solutions, such as SIG Terra Alu-free and SIG Terra Forest-based polymers, which Euromilk already utilizes. SIG introduced the first aluminium-free packaging material for aseptic cartons in 2010, and SIG Terra Alu-free is specifically developed for plain liquid dairy products.

Tibor Balogh, the managing director of Euromilk, highlighted the company's long-standing partnership with SIG, spanning over 25 years. This collaboration has been instrumental in doubling Euromilk's production volumes and strengthening its market presence in Slovakia. Sarka Kaplanova, managing director and head of sales for the Czech Republic and Slovakia at SIG, emphasized the importance of combining sustainability with efficiency. Kaplanova noted that the SIG Slimline 12 Aseptic filling line provides the necessary flexibility to accommodate various packaging materials, including those with forest-based polymers, positioning Euromilk favorably in the Eastern European food and beverage market.
