Dairy Prices in Estonia Witness Year-on-Year Decrease in December

Data from the Estonian Institute of Economic Research indicates that in December 2023, all dairy products in Estonia became cheaper compared to the same period in 2022.
The price of milk in a plastic bag experienced a 16% decrease, falling from €1.02 in December 2022 to €0.94 a year later. Sour cream became 7% cheaper, kefir in a plastic bag dropped by 8%, and butter and cream prices fell by 2%.
Cottage cheese and Estonian cheese also became cheaper by less than 1%.
However, the prices of eggs moved in the opposite direction, with M-size eggs of Estonian origin witnessing a 13% increase from €2.31 in December 2022 to €2.62 in December 2023.
