Colanta has emerged as a dominant player in Colombia's dairy sector, accounting for 70% of the country's dairy exports in 2024.
The cooperative reported revenues of $4.13 billion, marking a 10.1% growth compared to the previous year. A significant 787.33% increase in dairy exports saw 54.9 million liters of milk, equivalent to 8,437 tons, shipped primarily to Venezuela and the United States.
Fluid milk sales, a key contributor, grew by 9.5% in volume. Other sectors also experienced growth, with channel sales increasing significantly: traditional channels by 3.5%, modern retail by 14.5%, and institutional channels by 34.3%.
Additionally, Colanta's cooperative model, with 4,113 members, contributes 80.8% to its daily milk production.
