ATNI Unveils 3rd Edition of Access to Nutrition India Index

In this iteration, ATNI has evaluated 20 companies, including 14 publicly listed on Indian or Global Stock Exchanges. The index assesses the healthiness of 1,900 products from these companies, directly impacting people's diets. It also highlights exemplary practices and presents a roadmap for positive change within India's broader food and beverage industry.
Expressing enthusiasm about the launch, Greg S Garrett, Executive Director of ATNI, emphasized the organization's commitment to transforming markets and improving access to healthier products. The India index is envisioned as a powerful catalyst for positive change in the food and beverage industry, shedding light on effective strategies and areas requiring improvement.
The event will feature presentations by Shri G. Kamala Vardhana Rao, CEO of FSSAI, and a panel discussion with key figures including Ashim Sanyal, COO of Consumer Voice, Dr. R. Hemalatha, Director of the National Institute of Nutrition, and representatives from the Ministry of Food Processing, CII, and Invest India.
Companies evaluated in the index include Adani Wilmar, Agro Tech Foods, Britannia Industries, Coca-Cola India, Dabur India, GCMMF AMUL, Haldiram’s Snacks Private Limited, Hatsun Agro Products, Heritage Foods, Hindustan Unilever, ITC, KMF Nandini, Lactalis India, Marico, Mondelez India Foods, Mother Dairy Fruit & Vegetables, Nestlé India, Parle Products, Patanjali Foods, and PepsiCo India.
