Argentinian Dairy Industry to Reach Record Levels in 2025

The Argentinian dairy industry is on course to hit record production levels by 2025, as highlighted by Ércole Felippa, president of the Center for the Dairy Industry (CIL). Despite ongoing economic challenges, production is expected to soar to between 11.4 and 11.5 billion liters, surpassing previous years.

This remarkable growth is attributed to several factors, including the elimination of export tariffs and reduced government intervention, which have improved the sector's profitability and competitiveness. International factors, such as lower grain prices, have also contributed to reduced costs for producers.

Brazil continues to be the principal market for Argentinian powdered milk exports, underscoring the importance of international trade for the industry's success.

Furthermore, there is an emphasis on the need for comprehensive tax reform at national, provincial, and municipal levels to ensure long-term competitiveness and avoid past challenges. Such measures are deemed crucial for the sector's future viability.
