Argentine Dairy Industry in Figures: Key Data for 2024

According to data from the Argentine Dairy Chain Observatory (OCLA), national dairy production totaled 10.59 billion liters in 2024, a 6.5% decrease compared to the previous year.
Thus, the total number of cows was 1,483,587, with a daily dairy production of 3,076 liters. Each cow produced 23.4 liters per day, reaching a total of 7,138 liters per year.
The price paid to the producer is US$0.42, generating direct employment for 43,000 people. Regarding industries, there are 670 companies dedicated to the production of dairy products, generating 32,744 registered jobs and achieving a total turnover of US$13.216 billion.
In terms of exports, the total exported volume was 382.7 thousand tons of products, an 8.1% increase compared to 2023, generating a profit of US$1.41 billion. The main export destinations were Brazil, Algeria, and Chile.
