Argentina Sees Surge in Dairy Exports, Expands Market Reach to New Regions
The dairy sector also reported robust performance, with exports reaching 31,019 tons valued at US$115.2 million. Dairy shipments grew 11.3% in volume and 9.9% in value year-on-year, highlighting the growing global recognition of Argentine dairy products like cheese and milk. These results demonstrate increasing international appreciation for Argentina's dairy quality, creating new export opportunities for producers.
Argentina’s pork exports have also surged, with a 35.1% increase in the first nine months of 2024. This growth illustrates the country’s efforts to diversify its export portfolio, reducing reliance on traditional markets and tapping into new demand for Argentine pork products.
In addition to these gains, Argentina continues to expand its export market access. The country recently reduced imports and secured entry into the South African market for porcine hemoglobin powder. Certified exports now allow Argentina to send 11,900 tons of the product to countries such as Colombia, Vietnam, Thailand, and Mexico, further strengthening the country’s international position and opening promising avenues for growth in global agribusiness.
