Alpina Leads the Way in Colombian Business Innovation Rankings
The National Association of Entrepreneurs of Colombia (Andi) recently held the Innovation Land Summit, where it highlighted Alpina as one of the leading innovative companies in Colombia. Alpina, a well-known dairy company, shared the top positions in the rankings with Corona Industria and Fundación Cardio Infantil. This evaluation included 303 companies from 50 economic subsectors across 13 departments of Colombia.
The aim of the study was to measure and bring visibility to the strategies, results, and innovation capabilities of the country's major companies, both domestically and internationally. In addition to Alpina, other companies recognized for their innovation included Ecopetrol, Promigas, Colsubsidio, Alcec, Comestibles Ricos, Banco Davivienda, and Alianza Team.
According to the data presented by Andi, participating companies allocate an average of 5.61% of their sales to activities related to science, technology, and innovation (CTI). This investment highlights the growing importance of these processes in maintaining business competitiveness.
Furthermore, in 2025, the evaluated companies collectively created 5,887 new jobs associated with innovation, technology, and development activities. The ranking categorizes companies by different innovation profiles such as Inventors, Rebels, Visionaries, and Heroes, which help in identifying various strategies for developing competitive advantages and generating value.
Andi emphasized that the results demonstrate how innovation can drive the creation of specialized employment, even amidst an environment increasingly shaped by automation and artificial intelligence. Alpina's prominent position among the leading organizations underscores the significant role of innovation within the Colombian food and dairy industry. In an era where technology, research, and development become increasingly critical for competitiveness, Alpina's recognition is particularly noteworthy.
