Since the beginning of 2022, the European Union has seen an increase in cases of adverse reactions associated with the use of veterinary drugs in cattle. This is reported by the Spanish veterinary portal Animal's Health, citing data from the Spanish Agency for Medicines and Health Products (AEMPS).
Cases of livestock deaths after vaccination are being investigated in Europe

We are talking, in particular, about severe anaphylactic reactions, often fatal, recorded in cattle in Belgium, Italy, France and Spain after the use of vaccines and a number of other veterinary drugs administered parenterally. In France, since 2021, there has been an increase in cases of hypersensitivity and anaphylactic reactions in cattle after parenteral administration of antimicrobial drugs.

According to the publication, the observed adverse events may be due to the fact that the animals were weakened after vaccination against bluetongue. However, this connection has not yet been confirmed. It is reported that the competent authorities of the European Union are currently conducting special monitoring of these cases in order to identify the causes of what is happening and take appropriate measures.
