Tetra Laval: It is expected that the production volume of white milk will grow annually by 2.2% until 2027

According to the Tetra Laval Group report, half of the global demand will come from Central and Eastern Asia.
"The food and beverage industry is continuously evolving to meet the ever-changing preferences and needs of consumers. Understanding consumer behavior is essential for remaining competitive in a highly challenging market," the Group's materials state.
By 2027, according to the group's experts, global demand for flavored milk is expected to grow by 1.7% per year, despite its production volumes being small compared to white milk.
Furthermore, the range of culinary products is rapidly expanding, forcing brand owners to innovate to meet demand for convenient meal options and increase their availability. It is expected that the annual growth of this category will be 1.6% by 2025.
"The growing demand for plant-based and alternative protein sources based on rice, nuts, grains, and seeds continues with a projected annual growth of 1.5% until 2027," according to the Tetra Laval report.
Additionally, analysts note that high-protein products and active nutrition contribute to the growth of the assortment and make it more mainstream. It is expected that by 2027, the production volume of children's beverages will increase annually by 2.6%.
According to Tetra Laval's forecasts, the annual growth in the ready-to-drink coffee and tea category will be 2.1% until 2027.
"Ice cream consumption will grow annually by 1.7% until 2027. Despite concerns about high sugar content, various flavors remain the driving force behind category development," concluded Tetra Laval experts.
