Starbucks and Arla Introduce No Added Sugar Frappuccino to Meet Consumer Demands
Launching on March 25th, the Starbucks Frappuccino Caramel No Added Sugar variant will hit Asda shelves, packaged in a 250ml glass bottle with an RRP of £2.10.

This new drink blends Starbucks' signature espresso roast coffee with milk and caramel, providing the same rich taste as the classic Starbucks Frappuccino Caramel but without the added sugar.

The extension of the line aims to cater to consumer demand for more balanced drink options, offering shoppers their caffeine fix with fewer calories.

Arla sees this addition as enhancing the overall Starbucks range, providing a unique selling point in its coffee selection.

Timing-wise, Arla believes this launch coincides perfectly with the popularity of Frappuccino coffee, citing an 11% organic growth for the variant within the UK, making it a preferred choice for many consumers.

Adam Hacking, head of beverages at Arla, highlighted the company's commitment to meeting evolving consumer needs, stating, "Reduced sugar innovations have driven 13% year-on-year growth in global food and drink NPDs."

He added, "The new Starbucks Frappuccino Caramel No Added Sugar will build on this trend to satisfy the desire for lighter enjoyment and fill the Frappuccino gap in the Starbucks range of skinny and no added sugar SKUs."
