Royal A-ware Acquires Spanish Distributor Global Dairy Ventures

Royal A-ware, a prominent Dutch dairy company, announced its acquisition of Global Dairy Ventures (GDV), a distributor based in Barcelona, Spain. The acquisition aims to bolster Royal A-ware's market presence in Southern Europe and to expand its product offerings. GDV is known for connecting European producers of premium cheese and dairy products with retail and foodservice clients.

The deal was made with Abac Capital, GDV's previous private-equity owner, for an undisclosed amount. GDV's primary customers include Iberconseil, Disalp, and Adonis, which operate in the markets of Spain, Portugal, and Italy.

The CEO of Royal A-ware, Antonio Rodriguez, stated that this acquisition allows them to offer a more comprehensive product portfolio to their customers. Christophe Roux, CEO of GDV, expressed enthusiasm about joining Royal A-ware, highlighting the company's expertise and sector knowledge as beneficial for GDV's growth. Oriol Pinya, co-founder of Abac Capital, noted the development achieved under their ownership as GDV transitions into a new growth phase with Royal A-ware.

Royal A-ware expects the acquisition to be finalized in the coming weeks, marking a new chapter for both companies in the competitive dairy sector.
