Piercristiano Brazzale, President of the IDF: Global milk production will grow by 2-3%
"The forecast for the coming years is that the growth rate of milk production will be 2-3%. The largest producers of cow's milk are the USA, the European Union, and India," said Mr. Brazzale.

Since 2010, according to Mr. Brazzale, other types of milk have also been growing actively.

"In 2023, India produced 232 million tons of milk, including buffalo milk. We expect milk production to grow in Africa, Pakistan, to some extent in the USA and China. European countries are more likely in a situation of stagnation. Perhaps, when the election situation is resolved, it will somehow affect the situation in the industry," noted Brazzale.

The expert pointed out the gap between supply and demand.

"We see a gap between supply and trade of 33 million tons, which is likely to double by 2030," emphasized Mr. Brazzale.

"By 2050, the global population will increase by nearly 2 billion people and reach at least 9.6 billion. This will stimulate demand for animal-derived products. In this situation, we are faced with various conflicts and crises—climatic, political, social. The impact of these factors also affects the growth of hunger in the world. This is an important factor in supporting food security programs," stressed Mr. Brazzale.
