Kazakhstan's Olzha Agro Holding Starts Exporting New-Crop Durum Wheat to Europe
Recently, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Serik Zhumangarin visited Kostanay region and got acquainted with the activities of agricultural enterprises in the region. Government representative Aliya Rakhimova, who was present at the meeting, said that the loading of durum wheat for shipment to Italy has already begun at the Olzha-Astyk elevator. She also noted that countries such as Turkey and Italy are famous for their bakeries, which delight customers with fresh bread and croissants every day.
In addition, the delegation visited the largest milling complex in Central Asia, Salamat LLP, located in Kostanay region. According to Aliya Rakhimova, the complex is distinguished by a high level of automation and technological equipment, which allows it to produce up to 300 thousand tons of flour per year. In the coming years, it is planned to increase production to 1 million tons, with an emphasis on exports to neighboring countries, as well as to China and Afghanistan.
“Kazakh grain continues to hold its position as one of the best in the world, and Turkish technologies and investments allow us to produce the highest quality flour,” noted Aliya Rakhimova.
