New England Dairy Launches 2024 Dairy Promotion Grant to Support Farmers

New England Dairy has rolled out its 2024 Dairy Promotion Grant program, inviting dairy farmers and dairy-focused groups in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Connecticut to apply.
Eligible applicants can seek grant funding of up to $2,400 annually to support activities aimed at enhancing the public perception of dairy farming and boosting the consumption of local dairy products.
With a focus on engaging youth and millennial consumers, the initiative aims to strengthen connections between farmers and local communities. The grants contribute to New England Dairy's mission to advocate for the dairy industry, build consumer trust, and highlight the crucial role of dairy farming in nutrition and wellness.
In 2023, over $41,000 in grant funding supported 28 farmer-led dairy promotion activities, including open farm days, milk samplings, and summer camps. The deadline for the first round of funding, covering projects from February to August, is February 2, 2024. A second round of funding will be available for projects later in the year.
