Meiji Holdings Co., Ltd., a japanese leader in the food sector, proudly announces its debut selection to the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI World), a prestigious global benchmark for ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) investments. Simultaneously, the company secures its place on the Dow Jones Sustainability Asia Pacific Index (DJSI Asia Pacific) for the fifth consecutive year since 2019.
The Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) are esteemed benchmarks representing companies recognized by S&P Global Inc. for their outstanding sustainability practices, evaluated through a rigorous Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA).
Out of the 2,500 major corporations globally, only 321 companies, including 38 Japanese firms, earned a spot on the exclusive DJSI World in 2023. Remarkably, Meiji Holdings is one of seven companies, including three Japanese entities, chosen from the food sector.
