This expansion introduces 14 new farms to its existing network of 120 small, family-operated farms, emphasizing its commitment to high-quality, sustainable, and regenerative farming practices.
The expansion strategically places Maple Hill at the forefront of supporting local farmers who uphold its stringent standards of sustainability, animal welfare, and environmental stewardship. Each of the new farms will maintain an average herd of about 50 cows, guaranteeing that the milk produced is of the highest quality for Maple Hill Creamery’s range of dairy products.
The initiative begins with the inclusion of Springwood Organic Farm, managed by Dwight Stoltzfoos and his family, who have been pioneers in regenerative agriculture since the mid-90s. Transitioning to fully grass-fed operations in 2012, the Stoltzfoos family also actively engages in educating other farmers through various events held at their farm, promoting advancements in regenerative farming practices. This farm will now serve as Maple Hill Creamery’s flagship farm in Pennsylvania.
