Lactalis plans to expand cooperation and open new production facilities in Kazakhstan

On the sidelines of the Kazakh-French business forum, Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev met with the CEO of Lactalis Group, Emmanuel Besnier. This was reported by The DairyNews with reference to Akorda.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted that this company was one of the first French enterprises to enter the Kazakh market 20 years ago. Today, several factories and dairy farms of the company are successfully operating in Kazakhstan.
As the head of state said, against the backdrop of global food security risks, cooperation in the agro-industrial sector and food production is becoming important. In this regard, Kazakhstan encourages investment in deep processing of agricultural products.
According to Akorda, Emmanuel Besnier thanked the Head of State for the meeting and shared Lactalis’ plans to expand cooperation and open new production facilities in Kazakhstan.
