Kyrgyzstan sent about 2 thousand tons of dairy products to Uzbekistan

The head of the Kyrgyz Ministry of Agriculture, Askarbek Dzhanybekov, announced the development of the Uzbekistan market by dairy producers from Kyrgyzstan.

The Minister commented on the issue of finding new markets for dairy products.
“The fact that Rosselkhoznadzor introduced temporary restrictions on the import of dairy products from Kyrgyzstan even helped us. We have increased the volume of exports of dairy products from Kyrgyzstan to Kazakhstan,” noted Askarbek Dzhanybekov. It was previously reported that in 2022, Kyrgyzstan exported milk and dairy products to Russia for $19.9 million.
According to the department, at the end of 2022, the export of dairy products amounted to 34.6 thousand tons, and for 8 months of 2023 - over 40 thousand tons.
“We have also mastered the Uzbek market, about 2 thousand tons of dairy products have already been exported to Uzbekistan , and more than 10 companies have entered the register of Uzbekistan as exporters of dairy products from Kyrgyzstan,” the minister said.
It is also noted that in 8 months Kyrgyzstan exported over 40 thousand tons of dairy products, of which more than 80% were sent to Kazakhstan .
