General Director of the national holding of Kazakhstan QazBioPharm Ergali Abduraimov and President of the French Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health France Christian Weissen signed an agreement in Paris on a license, supply and partnership for the production of vaccines against foot-and-mouth disease.
Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health France, as part of a major global pharmaceutical company, contributes its expertise and resources to support QazBioPharm in achieving World Organization for Animal Health standards for the production of foot and mouth disease vaccines. This partnership could also facilitate the possibility of exporting Kazakh meat products to foreign markets in the future.
The agreement was signed as part of agreements reached during the visit of French President Emmanuel Macron to Astana in November 2023. This indicates the political support and importance of this cooperation between the two countries.
